Mena Alexandera Suvari, born in 1979 is an American model, actress and fashion designer. She was born on 13 February 1979. Shortly after beginning her acting career Mena Alexandra Suvari starred in guest roles for 1990s TV shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. The film debut came in 1997's drama Nowhere. Her performances on American Beauty - for which she was nominated to get an award called a BAFTA Award - and American Pie and American Pie, which earned more attention from the public as she stepped into more prominent roles. The next time she appeared was in Loser (2000), with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. She was later the role of the title role in Sugar & Spice (2002). She had appearances in the 2002 independent drama Spun and the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. Also, she appeared on drama series on HBO Six Feet Under in 2004 she received a nomination as the Best Cast of the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari appeared in various films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari appeared on fashion blogs and in various magazines, such Vogue as well as Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. She has supported and been an advocate for the African Medical and Research Foundation over the years. The organization is also active in the issue of women's empowerment and is associated with groups that help raise awareness about breast cancer as well as women's rights and the End Violence Against Women Campaign.
